Because students are our top priority, The Center for Undergraduate Excellence (the CUE) is designed to provide free tutoring and academic support services to all current Penn State DuBois students. Our services are designed to provide students with the extra assistance needed to achieve both academic and personal success. The CUE offers:
- One-on-one tutoring
- Small group tutoring
- Large group tutoring
- Study groups
- Course review sessions
- Embedded tutoring
- Academic coaching
- Success and study skills workshops
- Educational resources and materials, computer programs, models
The CUE is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Appointments may be made by:

- Walk-ins are ALWAYS welcome!
Would you like a chance to ask a quick question one-on-one? Is that math problem mind-boggling? Do you need some help with understanding an assignment or a project? Do you need study tips, help with vocabulary, or a little review? Do you need some additional feedback before a class presentation? Would you like to raise that D grade to a C or that B grade to an A? The CUE can help.

How to Schedule a Tutoring Appointment on Starfish
- Go to starfish.faroor.com and log in
- Go to your dashboard or “My Success Network”
- Look under “Services”
- Click on “DuBois - Center for Undergraduate Excellence”
- Click on the tutor you need (tutor specialties are listed)
- Click “Schedule Appointment”
- Choose what you need help with
- Click “Continue”
- Choose an available time that works for you
- Click “Continue”
- Review your appointment details to ensure it is correct
- Click “Confirm”
- Your appointment is now scheduled. You should receive an appointment confirmation in your email.
